Math-U Project Now What? Teaching Staff watching the children in the staff room have been so impressed that I have been asked to accommodate 2 other groups of 6 children There are others in the school who would benefit from using them and will search out ways of incorporating them into our daily routine. There was no forward planning or formal assessment of the group before they started using Math-U's, the only evidence I have that the project has made a difference is by the comments of the teachers involved. With the help of my work advocate I have identified 4 children in her class who might benefit from this project and I intend to use this group as the focus for my action research this term I now have an assumption that Math-u's are very beneficial to children who find Maths difficult or who find it difficult to concentrate. I can now test this out by well planned action research, which I will then reflect on. This will result in me having a 'double loop' reflection where I have built on the results of one reflection, in order to improve the quality and accuracy of my next actions. |
