So What?

The Math- U's have proved extremely useful with this small group of children. It is obvious in the first sessions that these children find it difficult to concentrate, but all but a few soon love the routine, come in, sit down and quietly complete the task. Some who took ten minutes at the beginning now only take a minute to complete the twenty questions.

Their self esteem has been boosted, one young man has brought his nan, his mum and his dad in on different occaisions to show them what he does, and how quickly he completes the task.

Their teacher reports that every child has now begun to attempt work in class that they would have rejected before they began to use the Math - Us.

The units are easy for the children to operate, and the children like the 'game boy' look of them, they see it as a treat.

They soon find out that they cannot 'cheat', and enjoy the praise for completing the task more quickly.

As they are out of the classroom it is obvious to the teacher without reporting back how the session has gone.
