As Espresso is an Intranet as opposed to a published Internet resource it is quite frustrating that it is not available for staff to explore at home. This, I am sure, acts as a barrier, I know, for instance that I would learn much more from watching my own children explore it at home. Teaching staff report how difficult it is to plan their lessons out of school, the Staffroom facility is available via the Internet and provides some excellent information, accessed via a password, it gives an overview of the different resources available and how they link in the QCA schemes of work. Using a similar navigation to the ‘online version’ it is still fairly difficult to navigate and it is disappointing that staff cannot see the videos or activities ‘out of school’.
