Recognise Governing Variables or Barriers
2. Mind-Mapping is an excellent medium for visualising Espresso
I have been interested in the usefulness of mind-mapping for some
time, but have never put it to any particular use. My research into learning
styles would suggest that I am not a strongly visual learner; a review of
my website might confirm this, as I don’t make a lot of use of pictures
and diagrams in my work.
I embarked on the mind-mapping not sure how long it would take and unsure
how helpful I would find the results. Here is what I found: -
• The software made mind mapping quick and simple to use.
• I have learned much about the content of Espresso just by doing the
mind – mapping.
• The mind – mapping tool allows you to put a great deal of information
onto one page.
I am a convert! I found it so useful that I used the same tool to make maps
of my literature review whilst trawling the Internet for information. I found
it quick and simple to use. I was able to show the associations between different
pieces of literature.
Thoughts
following reflection: -
• Mind mapping is a tool that I have neglected; I will use it much more
now that I have recognised its worth.
